One of the highlights of the project was a new two-level paver patio system. The raised patio section was built to sit just below the patio door, using Grand Discover pavers with a 4x8 Elements border. To achieve the elevation, we installed one course of Tribute retaining wall block along the perimeter.

Surrounding the raised patio, a lower patio section was constructed to expand the entertaining space and create a smooth transition into the yard.

Like all of our paver installations, the patio was built using geotextile fabric, an 8-inch compacted base, and 3/8” chips for paver bedding, with polymeric locking sand used to secure the joints.

To create an additional gathering space, we installed a circular paver fire pit patio connected to the main patio by a 4-foot-wide walkway. The fire pit area features Discover pavers with a matching border and a 36-inch Summit Stone fire pit with a steel insert, providing the homeowners with a comfortable space for relaxing and entertaining.

Several areas around the property were redesigned with new landscape beds using river rock, bullet edgers, and a variety of low-maintenance plants and shrubs. These updates included landscaping around the house, driveway, septic area, and beneath the treehouse. 

In the front yard, we also installed a drainage landscape feature along both sides of the driveway, incorporating river rock and decorative boulders to help manage water flow while enhancing curb appeal. 

To keep the new landscaping healthy and easy to maintain, we installed a 10-zone Rain Bird irrigation system designed to provide efficient watering throughout the property. 

The finishing touch was a low-voltage landscape lighting system, including 28 pathway lights and 9 wall lights, all connected to an astronomical timer that automatically adjusts with seasonal sunrise and sunset times.
